Villa Regina Teodolinda Wedding On Lake Como

I had the pleasure of designing this custom watercolored wedding invitation for my client's wedding in Lake Como. She wanted an illustration of the Villa Regina Teodolinda where her ceremony will take place and a rich floral, lining for the envelope. Her palette is rich navy blue, gold, green and a bit of blush.

The gardens and grounds of this Villa are so beautiful. Surrounded with flowers, trees and every shade of green you can imagine. This location on the lake is truly a magical wedding destination.

I immediately thought of these gorgeous Arpa handmade envelopes. Lake Como has the most beautiful water and this envelope is a perfect match. I love the dramatic contrast of a dark envelope. I suggested a pretty gold metallic calligraphy for the addressing and incorporated the gold ink in the illustration and lining artwork.
